Challenge: Wide and Shallow
A large extension on the back of a house in Over, near Cambridge, left a wide but shallow garden. Paving along the back had to be wide enough to accommodate opening bi-fold doors, but was not practical for seating areas. There was also a considerable step up onto the garden. Seating areas were places at each end, and the different levels allowed for both a raised patio and a larger patio surrounded by raised beds with integrated lighting. In the front, extra parking spaces left a small area for interlocking raised beds.
