Blank Canvas
A new housing estate in St Neots, Cambridgeshire provided a blank canvas for clients who wanted a secluded seating area and interest all year round.
It was important to provide the privacy that is so elusive on any new-build estate, and also an interesting view from the main windows of the house. Trellis along the top of the wall gave some screening that will be enhanced in the coming years when climbers establish there. The circular pergola feature around the patio, whilst not giving total privacy, does give a psychological feeling of enclosure when sitting out.
The clients were delighted with the result and especially pleased when the postman commented that it looked like a garden you would see at the Chelsea Flower Show!
